How You Can Help

What is next for the Te Puke Centre? We are working very hard in the background to obtain the necessary finance for staff and refurbishment at the centre which are critical for the sustainable operation of Te Manawa.

Our goal is to be fiscally sustainable in three years but in the start up phase there is a lot to do and support for the project is important.

Goals –

• Refurbishment: Transforming the interior of the building to a modern co-work­ing space with boardroom, meeting rooms and upgraded kitchen area $100,000, – our required community contribution to support funding applications.
• Centre activation: Obtaining funding for staffing in the interim period and beyond – working towards obtaining essential equipment and services that are required $100,000 – our required community contribution to support funding applications.

A contribution to our Donation Campaign would be most welcome.

For every community donation we receive we are able to leverage off it to obtain further funding from philanthropic Trusts for our de­velopment and this community support is a necessary part of the funding drive. We are truly grateful for all your support to date and in the future and the Te Puke community will be the beneficiary of this in a myriad of ways.

Our application to the Lotteries Facilities Fund needs to be submitted by the beginning of March and our donation campaign deadline is 29 February 2020 for the funds  to be in the bank in order  to be able to submit this application  (Lotteries Facilities require 1/3 community funding to support any application for funding)

WAYS OF DONATING:

You can claim 33.33 cents for every dollar you donate over $5 against your tax.

• Donate via our website tepukecentre.org.nz press the DONATE button.
• Drop your donation in the Donation Box in Te Manawa Te Puke Centre (Old Post Office).
  • Note: Please make any cheques out to The Te Puke Centre Charitable Trust.
    • We have an EFTPOS donation machine available beside our Funding Palm where you will be able to see our progress towards our goal. Please take a moment to fill out a form with your contact details if you wish to receive a charitable donation re­ceipt.

The Trust has set a minimum funding campaign target of $100k for the project to proceed beyond the present short-term lease arrangements. Should this target not be met the Trust will refund all donations where requested. It is vitally important that funders and Council can see that this community led initiative has substantial support from the Te Puke area community.
